Hello everyone! I’m Michelle, and I am the proprietor of Bryant's Tax, Logistics, and Accounting Services, LLC. I decided to create blog posts to help my Truckers, Logistics Companies, and Carriers avoid unnecessary expenses in this industry.

My lifelong dedication to the logistics business began in 1999 at 18 years old after seeing my hustler father change gears and become a passionate trucker. His career change was so profound that he constantly convinced everyone of the benefits of trucking. This was the catalyst that plunged my brother’s friends into becoming truckers. Even as I wet my feet in the world of logistics, I was still set on becoming an engineer and reveling in all the world had to offer.

I soon realized my growing love for the industry and the wealth of knowledge available at my fingertips. I took the plunge into trucking, and as my father opted to leave his position at Pioneer Transport to conquer the open road, I went to work for a trucking magnate. I grasped at this priceless opportunity and wasted no time immersing myself in the trucking profession while growing professionally and mentally.

When I say immersed, I mean it. I worked in various departments across the organization. Namely: billing, accounts payable, rate quotation, driver's payroll, and IT. In IT, I was a team member that designed a program that seamlessly coordinated orders and dispatches. I also assisted the safety department in DOT Audits, which is crucial to determining the success of a logistics trucking company.

After honing all my years of expertise, it was inevitable that my next venture would be to start my own company. I now steer my own wheel as a Tax Professional who specializes in logistics. I offer a plethora of services to Truckers, whether they are: owners, operators, company drivers, carriers, dispatchers, or any other similar position.

The Problem

In all my years in this business, and more often now that I run my own outfit, I have come to the realization that many drivers are unaware of a Driver's Trip Sheet and how vital it is. Trip Sheets are also a part of the paperwork for IFTA Fuel Tax Filing. Using the Driver Trip Sheet will give you accuracy on the distance traveled and fuel quantity purchased in all participating jurisdictions in which they operated. It is like a one-stop shop for all the information needed in a specific trip which will be used in filing a quarterly fuel tax report.

Using this sheet will help drivers manage their cashflows and ensure they meet FMCSA requirements. The FMCSA monitors and ensures compliance with federal motor carrier safety and commercial regulations. They utilize everything from roadside inspections, onsite audits, data scoring, and enforcement actions to keep America's roadways safe for the general public.
